Hall of Fame
Claire Miller is one of W&M's all-time greatest field hockey players. A goalkeeper on both of the Tribe's NCAA Tournament-qualifying teams in 2000 and 2002, she was named a third-team All-American by the NFHCA following her senior season, the only goalkeeper in school history to be so honored. More than a decade after she graduated, Miller still ranks fifth in school history with 26 career wins (11 by shutout) and with a 1.25 goals-against average. She was named first-team All-Region and first-team All-CAA in 2001 after winning 14 games and posted a career-low 1.09 GAA, before repeating both awards as a senior in 2002 with 12 more wins, a 1.41 GAA, and 132 saves.
