Stemm set eight school records in her career on campus, seven as a member of relays and one individually – as she held the 1,500m record outdoors from 1999-2000 (she graduated as the second-fastest all-time and remains third). She still holds the school record in the 4x800m both indoors and outdoors, and the 4x1,500m and Distance Medley Relay (DMR) outdoors.  Upon graduation, the DMR she was a member of held the school indoor record for 10 years and currently ranks fourth. Additionally, she graduated with the second fasting clocking in the 1,000m and now sits at 6th all-time. Her PR in the mile was the fifth best mark at her graduation and now sits at 13th in the school record books. Outdoors, she was sixth in the 800m at graduation and is now eighth. Stemm held the outdoor freshman record in the 800m for 20 years, until it was finally broken in the spring of 2017.

After graduation, while working full-time as a teacher she went on to pursue her running goals. She finished 13th in the 3,000m steeplechase at the 2003 USAT&F Outdoor National Championships. She later took 15th in the indoor 1,500m at the USAT&F Indoor National Championships in 2010 while working as the Assistant Track & Field Coach at Loyola Marymount University. Ali is currently chasing around two kids ages 1 and 3 as a stay at home Mom. She and her husband, Rob currently reside in Los Angeles, Calif.Â
