ANNAPOLIS, Md. — It's almost become tradition for
Keeley Suzenski to add her name to the William & Mary women's indoor track & field record books each week. And this week was no different.
At Friday's Navy Select, the Green and Gold standout placed first in the shot put at 14.61m (47-11.25), the 11th-best performance in program history. Following an incredible regular season this winter, Suzenski now owns the top-11 marks in W&M lore.
Also making a strong impression of her own was freshman
Ella Carlson. She placed sixth in the event at 11.27m (36-11.75).
Weight Throw
Suzenski led the way, finishing fourth at 16.44m (53-11), while
Talia Anderson was seventh at 15.01m (49-3). Anderson's performance marked a new PR for the freshman and moves her into 12
th on the Tribe's all-time performers list.
Mile
Emily Sell crossed the finish line in third to lead a strong Tribe contingent, posting a time of 5:09.20.
Jennifer Tsai was fifth in 5:12.62 and
Tessa Dobrinski was seventh in 5:18.87.
400m
Grace Bir finished in ninth at 59.08 and
Lydia Wallis was 11
th.
800m
Makenzie Joiner highlighted the event for the Green and Gold, finishing sixth in 2:18.40.
Jenny Gerson (2:23.57) and
Hope Stephens (2:23.89) finished within steps of each other in tenth and 11
th, while
Hannah Holland (2:24.83) and
Megan Dougherty (2:25.23) were 13
th and 14
th.
Anna Cestari wrapped it up for the Tribe in 16
th.

Kaycee Cox-Philyaw finished seventh.
3,000m
Annika Griggs and
Emily Graves both ran solid races, finishing in ninth and 13
th.
4x400 Relay
The quartet of
Grace Bir,
Makenzie Joiner,
Lydia Wallis, and
Megan Dougherty placed second, finishing with a time of 4:01.76.
