ANNAPOLIS Md., - The William & Mary men's track & field team opened its indoor season at the Navy Invitational I on Saturday morning at the Wesley A. Brown Field House.
Field Events
Long Jump
- The Tribe opened up the field events with
Ethan Buenviaje, finishing 12th with 6.48m (21'3.75).
Triple Jump
- Ivor, Va., native
Harrison Duncan placed seventh with 13.98m (45'10.5).
Running Events:
Mile
- For the mile,
Owen Lipps and
Alex Loukili both placed in the top 10. Lipps earned fourth place at 4:22.45, while Loukili settled in eighth at 4:24.26
60m Hurdles
- Over in the 60m hurdles
Daniel Layton placed third with an IC4A qualifying time of 8.03.
400m
- The Tribe had three harriers to compete in the 400m dash. Jack Bunting came in first for the Tribe in fourth at 50.03.
Daniel Layton placed in the top 10 in ninth with a time of 50.89, while
Cole Harris rounded it out for the Tribe in 16th place at 52.52.
200m
- In the 200m Cary, N.C., native
Russ Burns placed 16th at 23.2.
4x400m
- The Tribe rounded out the day in the 4x400m featuring
Jack Bunting,
Russ Burns,
Gabriel Albers, and
Jackson Cooley finished fourth 3:26.46.
