The Bob Solderitch Atrium
Bob Solderitch Memorial Atrium
On July 31, 2020 William & Mary Athletics announced a campaign to name the entranceway to the Jimmye Laycock Football Center after Bob Solderitch. The project was spearheaded by an initial gift of a $100,000 from a Football alumni donor who wishes to remain anonymous.  Approximately $250,000 has been raised to date for the project.

W&M’s goal is to raise $650,000 and is encouraging gifts in increments of 65, whether that be $65, $650, $6,500 or $65,000. Solderitch wore number 65 in his playing career from 1982-85. All funds raised will go directly to support the Tribe football program.

William & Mary Athletics plans to host a public celebration of Solderitch’s legacy and unveil the re-named atrium during the summer of 2021

Alumni Athlete Giving Challenge
Since 2005, William & Mary Athletic Foundation has been tracking the percentage of alumni athletes who donate to their specific sport. Unrestricted and sports-specific donations to William & Mary Athletics make an immediate impact and assist with essential team needs. As our strategic plan, Tribe 25, states; a goal of increasing annual contributions from $4 million to $5 million, participation in the Alumni Athlete Giving Challenge is a direct way to make an impact on this goal!

One Tribe One Day
Each year, William & Mary participates in a university-wide day of giving celebration- One Tribe One Day (OTOD). Carried out each spring, OTOD is a chance to show how much the university means to us and the impact it has had on our lives. Around the world, and throughout the day, the Tribe Community will gather to celebrate by giving back and paying it forward. Every gift, no matter the size, strengthens William & Mary. Information regarding each year’s OTOD will be communicated via William & Mary Athletics communication channels.

Ten for Tribe
It is a fact that students who make gifts as undergraduates are more likely to give as young alumni, thus building a culture and understanding of philanthropy among our student-athletes- as early as freshman year- can strengthen William & Mary Athletic Foundation ’s overall mission.

Ten for Tribe is our annual student philanthropy campaign. Each year, the fund asks that all varsity student-athletes contribute a $10 donation to the program of their choosing.  The goal is for 100% participation, but most importantly, to instill a sense of philanthropic support for future William & Mary alumni.Â
