WILLIAMSBURG, Va.—The William & Mary track and field program will have three athletes competing at the NCAA East Regional Preliminaries in Jacksonville, Fla. beginning on Thursday.
Elizabeth Strobach and
Arianna DeBoer will each be in action on Thursday in a quest to punch their ticket to the national championships in Eugene, Ore. in June, while
Catherine Garrison will take to the track on Sunday. The meet will be broadcast on ESPN+.
Strobach will compete in the pole vault at 5:30 p.m. entering the event as the Tribe's program record holder at 4.16m (13-7.75), which she just set her last time in action. Strobach enters the NCAA Regional ranked 33 in the East for pole vault.
DeBoer will line up in the 10,000m on Thursday evening at 9:30 p.m. in an event that she is the fifth best performer all-time for W&M. She posted her qualifying time of 34:07.04 back in March and enters the week ranked 44
th in the East Region.
Garrison will wait until Saturday at 5:40 p.m. to try and book her trip to Eugene in the 3,000m steeplechase. The sophomore became the program record holder in April at the Wake Forest Invitational with a time of 10:07.00 and will enter Saturday's action seeded 18
th in the region.
