WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Don't blink, or you'll miss him.
For the second week in a row,
Jackson Cooley set a new 100m PR — and, for good measure, at Friday's Colonial Relays, set a new William & Mary record, too. The Reston, Va. native ran a 10.53 in the event, taking second in a field of 60-plus athletes. Cooley ran a 10.65 at last weekend's Dan Stimson Memorial Invitational and, this time around, took down a record (10.58) set in 2016.
Also notching an impressive showing at Day 2 of the Relays was
Chris Arias, who captured first place in the javelin invitational at 64.15m (210-05.1). His next closest competitor finished at 56.50m.
As a team, William & Mary sixth with 26th points following the second day of the Relays. Columbia is first with 55 points, Wagner second with 42 and Brown third with 41.
