The William & Mary men's track & field team hosts head-to-head dual-meet action for the first time since 1992 on Saturday, welcoming George Mason, Navy, and Buffalo for the first Dan Stimson Memorial Quad Meet. All of the throws will take place at the Stimson Throwing Events Area, adjacent to the Green and Gold Village, while all jumping and running events are held inside of Zable Stadium. Action begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, and can be followed with live results online at TribeAthletics.com.
Back Home Twice More
This weekend is the second of four meets that W&M will host this spring, the most since 1999-00. After last weekend's Tribe Invitational and this weekend's Dan Stimson Memorial Quad Meet, the Green and Gold will host the 53rd Annual Berkeley Realty Property Management Colonial Relays, the largest scored collegiate meet in the nation outside of the NCAA Championships. The three-day meet will be held in two weeks, April 5-7. Finally, the home schedule will come to a close May 4-5, with the Colonial Athletic Association Championships.
Nation's Biggest Streamed on the Nation's Best
The Berkeley Realty Property Management Colonial Relays will be streamed live this year around the world, live on FloTrack. Fans with a subscription to FloTrack PRO will be able to watch every track event, as well as some bonus coverage of jumping events. For more information, please visit
FloTrack.org, or head to

Breaking Down the Meet
Saturday's meet will be scored in a double-dual format, meaning that each team will be measured against all other teams, and whomever turns in the overall top performance in any event will get credit for three wins. The match-ups for the weekend are as follows:
W&M vs. George Mason
W&M vs. Buffalo
W&M vs. Navy
George Mason vs. Buffalo
George Mason vs. Navy
Buffalo vs. Navy
In each individual event, the scoring will go 5-3-2-1, with no more than two athletes from each team scoring. In the relays, the scoring is 5-3, with each team only scoring their fastest team. The first team to score more than 96 points will have clinched the win in each match-up.
Scouting the Tribe
W&M began the spring season last weekend with the Tribe Invitational, and turned in several top performances. Grad student
Tom Parker (Otford, Kent, England) was named the Colonial Athletic Association's Athlete of the Week, after winning the hammer throw at 62.26m (204-3), the 12th-best throw in the NCAA so far this spring. Parker also leads the CAA by a wide margin, and ranks third among all U.K. hammer throwers so far in 2018. Also in the throwing events, freshman
KJ Cook (Buena Vista, Va.) will compete in each of the three heavy events (shot, discus, and hammer). Cook won the discus last week with a freshman-record throw of 49.76m (163-3), the same mark he threw in the hammer, and ranks top-three in the conference in both events. Redshirt-junior
Derek Trott (Old Bridge, N.J.) took it easy in his first throw in two years last week, but still won the javelin with a CAA-leading effort of 56.03m (183-10).
Other notable entrants on Saturday include in the 1,500m, where 2016 CAA Champion
Dawson Connell (Yorktown, Va.) is the top entry. Connell most recently ran the 3,000m at the IC4A Championships at the beginning of the month, and was just a second off of his lifetime-best in that event. Junior
Ryan McGorty (Fairfax, Va.) is expected to be among the contenders in the 3,000m run this weekend, and could also challenge the track record of 8:17 in the event. His classmate
Chris Short (Toano, Va.) was the IC4A runner-up in the 800m this winter, and will be looking to take top honors in that race and possibly even qualify for the NCAA Eastern Semifinals if he can dip under 1:50. He'll be joined in that event by several teammates, including freshman
Miles Owens (Yorktown, Va.) who is currently the top-ranked 1,500m runner in the CAA after timing 3:57 last week in his opener.
In the shorter events, do-everything redshirt-junior
Dylan Anderson (Madison, N.J.) is entered in the 110m hurdles this week, and will likely also contribute on both the 4x100m and 4x400m relays alongside
Connor Atkinson (Ashburn, Va.). Atkinson won the head-to-head race against Anderson in the 400m hurdles last weekend by just .01 - this week, he's entered in the open 400m alongside junior
Duncan Goodrich (Richmond, Va.). Junior
Davion Hutt (King George, Va.), who set the school record in the 100m two years ago at 10.58, is entered in both the 100m and the 200m this week, and senior
Jared Sinsheimer (Federal Way, Wash.) is entered in all three non-assisted jumping events, the high jump, long jump, and the triple jump where he has the top entry mark.
