The William and Mary women's swimming team wrapped up its winter training Saturday, taking down Howard at the Rec Center pool 215-44. With the win to start 2013, the Tribe improves to 5-4 on the year.

200 Medley Relay
The road to victory included wins in all 14 events, starting with the 200 medley relay. Sophomore
Megan Howard (McLean, Va.) led the winning quartet, and was followed into the water by
Greta Schneider (Moorestown, N.J.),
Hannah Vester (Cincinnati, Ohio), and
Noelle Klockner (Marlboro, N.J.) with a total time of 1:49.03. The Tribe also took second with an aggregate time of 1:49.44 from the team of
Katie Thomas (Virginia Beach, Va.),
Sara Shaner (Clarendon Hills, Ill.),
Courtney Mizerak (Manassas, Va.), and
Gabrielle Mizerak (Manassas, Va.).
1000 Free
Junior
Devin Henry (Roanoke, Va.) was the winner in the 1000 free, stopping the clock in 10:53.58.
Liz Glenn (Greenwood Village, Colo.) was second in 11:01.34, and
Gabby Famularo (Virginia Beach, Va.) completed the podium sweep in 11:14.98 for third.
200 Free
Freshman
Jessie Ustjanauskas (West Hartford, Conn.) was one of three double-winners for the College, taking her first in the 200 free with a time of 1:54.71.
Noelle Klockner was second in 1:56.22, and
Sara Schad (North Yarmouth, Maine) was third in 2:00.29.
100 Back
Another two-race winner was freshman
Lindsey Winston (Henrico, Va.), who began her day with a 1:00.33 win in the 100 back.
Hannah Vester was second in 1:01.65, and
Liz Collins (Alexandria, Va.) took the bronze in 1:07.99.
100 Breast
Junior
Sara Shaner picked up the win in 100 breast, touching the wall in 1:07.77. Sophomore
Emma Carpenter (Haddonfield, N.J.) was third in the race, finishing in 1:12.84.
200 Fly
Sophomore
Rebecca Spicher (Chesapeake, Va.) pulled out a close win over
Caylyn Tate (Sterling, Va.), 2:13.62 to 2:13.86. Freshman
Elena Marsilii (Falls Church, Va.) completed another sweep with her third-place finish in 2:24.75.
50 Free
Greta Schneider, already with a win in the medley relay, added an individual gold to her record with a time of 24.30 in the 50 free.
Jen Bentley (Jamestown, N.Y.) was second in 25.19, and
Courtney Mizerak took third in 25.83 seconds.
100 Free
Jessie Ustjanauskas' second win came just after the break, as she led the field into the wall in the 100 free with a time of 52.94 seconds.
Katie Thomas was second in 55.02 seconds, and
Rachel Cortright (Ridgewood, N.J.) came in fourth with a showing of 55.96 seconds.
200 Back
Senior
Gabrielle Mizerak began her final semester with another double-gold performance, winning her first in the 200 back with a time of 2:07.87.
Jen Bentley was second in 2:14.83, and
Courtney Mizerak rounded out the top three in 2:18.68.
200 Breast
Freshman
Jenny Lomicka (Henrico, Va.) took the victory in the 200 breast, stopping the clock in 2:26.07.
Devin Henry was second, in 2:27.82, and
Emma Carpenter was fourth overall to score two more team points.
500 Free
Lindsey Winston's second win came in the 500 free, where she timed 5:10.10 to come in ahead of fellow rookie
Amanda Weidner (Evanston, Ill.), second in 5:19.29.
Gabby Famularo was third in 5:35.26.
100 Fly
Hannah Vester sped in under the minute barrier in the 100 fly to win with a time of 59.27 seconds.
Sara Shaner was second in 1:01.28, just a shade ahead of
Rebecca Spicher's 1:01.33 for third.
200 IM
Gabrielle Mizerak's second win came in the 200 IM, after she combined all four strokes into a 2:10.99 performance. Senior
Emily Bart (Cherry Hill, N.J.) was second in 2:13.91, and
Jenny Lomicka added a bronze medal in 2:14.65.
400 Free Relay
Megan Howard again showed her speed in leading the way for the Tribe's 400 free relay to win in 3:36.01. Howard's leg handed off to
Liz Glenn, then
Jen Bentley and
Katie Thomas in turn. The quartet of
Noelle Klockner,
Caylyn Tate,
Amanda Weidner, and
Liz Collins was second in the race, finishing in 3:38.96.
William and Mary will return to action next weekend, traveling out west
to take on ACC-foes Virginia Tech and Miami on Saturday, Jan. 19, beginning at 11 a.m.
