CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The William & Mary men's and women's swim continued competition at the Cavalier Invitational on Saturday. The second day of the three-day invitational featured Tribe participation in the 100 Fly, 200 Free, 100 Breast and 100 Back.
Sophomore
Ashton Temme posted a pair of personal bests, ranking in program history in both the 100 Fly and 100 Back.
100 Fly
Corinne Davenport swam a season-best 57.79 in the women's 100 Fly, taking nearly two tenths off her prelim swim. Freshman
Julia Gehrig also recorded a season best time, making a 57.90 finish.
On the men's side, Temme posted a personal-best 49.17 mark in the finals. Improving his lifetime-best mark, he holds his ranking at 14
th in program history in the event.
200 Free
Four Tribe women swam the 200 Free,
Meghan Benda made a 1:52.80 finish, marking her best time of the season, to lead the Green & Gold in the event.
Chloe Swatts posted a season-best time of 1:53.78,
Emmerson Dingwerth swam a 1:54.56 and
Julie Anderson posted her best mark of the season with a 1:55.06 finish in the prelims session.
Will Juricak made a 1:41.54 finish in the men's 200 Free, shaving nearly four seconds from his previous best time of the season.
Rhett Cosgrove touched the wall in 1:42.34 in the prelims session, cutting over four seconds from his season-best mark.
100 Breast
Natalia Rongione clocked in at 1:04.81 for a personal record swim in the women's 100 Breast.
Senior
Mills Harris finished in 58.56 on the men's side, swimming the event for the first time this season.
100 Back
Junior
Alexis Bonfield hit a season-best 57.18 in the 100 Back for the Tribe women, cutting .70 from her previous best time of the year.
Temme posted a second personal best swim of the day with a 49.60 finish in the 100 Back on the men's side to wrap up the Tribe's second day at the Cavalier Invitational. His time ties teammate
Aaron Tingley's ranking for 15
th all-time in program history in the event.

The Tribe conclude competition in Charlottesville on Sunday, Feb. 11, as the event resumes at 10 a.m. for prelims and 4 p.m. for finals.

After wrapping up their regular season competition, the Tribe will head to the CAA Championship in Hampton, Va., on Feb. 28-March 2.
