WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Keeley Suzenski is going to have add another page to her throwing résumé.
As has become tradition nearly every weekend, the Pennsylvania native once again notched a trio of strong performances for William & Mary as the Tribe competed in Friday's Wake Forest Invitational. Getting things started in the hammer throw, Suzenski posted another PR in the event at 57.20m (187-8). The throw improves her numbers as the No. 2 all-time performer in William & Mary history. Then, her third-place showing in the shot put at 14.28m (46-10.25) is the 12
th best performance by a Green and Gold athlete.
Suzenski also led the way for W&M in the discus, placing sixth at 46.32m (152-0).
And — another tradition for the Tribe this season — Suzenski wasn't the only one padding the Tribe record books.
In the 400m,
Emily Ervin ran a 55.23 to finish third. The time is the seventh fastest in W&M history, and the sophomore standout now owns three of the top-10 performances in the distance.
Less than a month after breaking the freshmen record in the 3000m steeplechase,
Catherine Garrison ran another impressive race at Wake. She crossed the finish line in 10:29.91, the ninth fastest in W&M history.
100m
Another week, another strong showing for the Green and Gold sprinters.
Melissa Cunningham and
Amaya Johnson finished within steps of each other, going 4-5 with times of 12.01 and 12.03.
Anna Kessler wasn't far behind either, finishing in 12.10.
800m
Makenzie Joiner grabbed second place with a time of 2:13.41, while
Molly Coyle was sixth (2:16.86).
1,500m
Kelly Ann Sutterfield paced a strong W&M trio, finishing ninth in 4:35.72.
Lucy Young (4:40.05) and
Jennifer Tsai (4:44.48) also finished in the top-15.
5,000m
Arianna DeBoer (16:27.18) and
Sofia Istnick (16:28.76) both finished top-25 in a field of 50 athletes. DeBoer's run moved her up the list of Tribe all-time performers in the event—she now sits at No. 13.
Triple Jump
Dana Abraham took second at 11.47m (37-7.75).
Long Jump
Megan Heidebrecht and Abraham went seventh and ninth at 5.57m (18-3.25) and 5.45m (17-10.75), respectively.
High Jump
Liliana Klemanski cleared 1.63m (5-4.25). By clearing that height, Klemanski moved into a tie for No. 15 on the Tribe's all-time performers list.
Pole Vault
Olesya Sitkowski finished tied for third at 3.70m (12-1.5) and
Elizabeth Upright was fifth at 3.55m (11-7.75) to highlight a solid Tribe showing in the event.
Sophie Fernandez and
Fiona Basewitz were seventh and eighth.
Javelin
Liv Cantby led the way for the Tribe with a fifth-place showing at 41.13m (134-11).
Kristen Herr and
Zoe Metzger finished ninth and tenth.
Hammer Throw
Talia Anderson also posted a strong performance in the event
Discus
Ella Carlson was 13
th at 41.99 (137-9).
Shotput
Carlson was 11
th at 12.06m (39-6.75).

It's a jam-packed weekend for the Tribe as W&M is slated to compete at the Penn Relays from April 27 – 29 and the Virginia High Performance Meet on Sunday, April 30.
