Nwosu Gets W&M Started in Colonial Relays

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Freshman Jason Nwosu opened the 57th Annual Colonial Relays for William & Mary in historic fashion on Thursday afternoon. The New Jersey native set a new PR in hammer throw and cracked the Tribe's all-time performers list at 50.41m (165-5).

The Green and Gold is hoping Nwosu's performance helps set the tone for the rest of the weekend as W&M hosts nearly 60 teams and hundreds of athletes in the squad's second straight home event. Friday's jam-packed slate gets underway at 9:10 a.m. with the women's 5,000m, while field events begin an hour later in the women's hammer throw.

Fans are encouraged to cheer on the Tribe at Zable Stadium and the Dan Stimson Throwing Area, but those who can't make it out to the 'Burg can follow along with all the action over the next two days here or on the team's Instagram.
