BLACKSBURG, Va. – The William & Mary men's indoor track & field team wrapped up competition at the Doc Hale VT Meet on Saturday with another round of strong performances and a few more additions to the program record books.
In shot put,
Jason Nwosu placed 10
th at 16.19m (53-1.5) — a PR for the freshman from New Jersey that now sits 11th on the Tribe's all-time performers list. Fellow first-year
Ross Bazzichi also notched his own solid showing, placing 16
th at 13.03m (42-9.0).
Meanwhile, on the track, the team of
Jackson Cooley,
Austin Rice,
Daniel Layton, and
Jonathan Kumer finished fourth in 3:20.24, the 16
th fastest time in Tribe history. Rice and Kumer highlighted the race, posting splits of 48.65 and 49.80.
Mile
Sam Pritchard crossed the finish line in second with a time of 4:07.31.
Evan Goodell (4:08.49) placed sixth, while
Luke Ellwood PR of 4:09.97 earned him seventh place.
Luke Henkel (4:18.62) and
Brendan DiStefano (4:18.66) were 16
th and 17
th.
Braedan Gallagher (4:32.12) and Matthias Oettel (4:39.05) rounded out the Tribe corps in 24
th and 25
th.

The Tribe makes its second trip to Lynchburg this season, competing at Liberty's Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational on Feb. 10 and 11.
