Mila Saric Earns Eighth Career CAA Player of the Week Honor

RICHMOND, Va. – William & Mary women's tennis senior Mila Saric was named the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week for the second time this spring.

Saric also earned the player of the week award on March 9. It marks the eighth time she has garnered the distinction in her career. This season, she also earned two CAA Doubles Team of the Week honors with freshman Hedda Gurholt on March 22 and Feb. 16.

Saric went a perfect 2-0 at the top singles position last week in the Tribe's dual-match with CAA foe Drexel and No. 63-ranked VCU. She opened the week with a 2-6, 6-2, 6-1 win over the Dragons' Lorie Lemongo in the Tribe's 5-2 CAA triumph.

On Sunday, Saric recorded her third nationally-ranked win of the spring, rallying past VCU's No. 80-ranked Paola Exposito Diaz-Delgado in three sets. After dropping the first set, 6-2, Saric responded to take the second and third, 7-5, 6-3, for the win. She improved to 20-5 overall and 10-3 at the top spot.

Saric and the Tribe hit the road for a CAA doubleheader at Towson on Saturday, April 9. W&M takes on Delaware at noon before squaring off with the Tigers at 3 p.m.
