Towson, MD. - William & Mary saw tremendous individual efforts but it was not enough as the women's swimming team suffered a close 163-131 loss at Towson, while the Tigers defeated the men 216-77 on the men's end.
Sophia Heilen led the way with three individual wins, picking up victories in both butterfly events and the 200 IM.
Annie Tuttle remained undefeated in the breaststroke events winning the 100 and 200.
Katie Stevenson dominated the sprints and
Elizabeth Intihar outlasted the competition in the distance races as Stevenson took firsts in the 50 and 100 free, while Intihar won the 1,000 and 500 events.
On the men's side, freshman
Will Glass took home first place in the 1,000 free and was less than half of a second off the pace to finish second in the 500.
Noah Fields won the 200 fly with a 1:52.38 time, and
Kent Codding finished second in the 100 butterfly event.
Both the men and women will next be in action on November fifth as the men face Delaware and the women battle James Madison. Both meets will be held in Newark.
