GREENWOOD, Ind. — Eight William & Mary swimmers were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team on Tuesday afternoon. Men's swimmers Aiden Bond, Ian Cullicott, Thomas Duncan, and Brock Rempe, along with women's swimmers Sophia Heilen, Erin Langenburg, Veronika Owen, and Flynn Truskett were recognized for their academic and athletic achievements.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Swimming Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletics and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes swimming honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.

To be nominated, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. They must also compete in 75 percent of competitions OR finish top-eight at a conference meet OR participate in a national championship. Each institution is limited to four nominees for swimming.

Aiden Bond | Junior | McLean, Va.
Won gold in the 200 free at the CAA Championships… Also earned medals in the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free relay, and 400 free relay… Majoring in finance.

Ian Cullicott | Junior | Austin, Texas
Competed in 10 meets… Helped the 400 free relay team to a third-place finish at the CAA Championships… Majoring in data science.

Thomas Duncan | Sophomore | McLean, Va.
Won the 200 back at the CAA Championships and set a school record with a time of 1:43.14…  Majoring in economics.

Sophia Heilen | Senior | Haymarket, Va.
Champion in the 200 breast at the CAA Champions… Also medaled in the 100 breast… Owns five SCY school records, two LCM records, and four freshman records… Majoring in data science.

Erin Langenburg | Senior | Richmond, Va.
Competed in 10 meets… Majoring in biology.

Veronika Owen | Sophomore | Bethesda, Md.
Swam in nine meets… Majoring in international relations.

Brock Rempe | Senior | Richmond, Va.
Competed in nine meets… Secured a second-place finish in the 100 breast at the CAA Championships with a school-record time of 52.90… Had five event victories on the season… Majoring in finance.

Flynn Truskett | Senior | Glen Mills, Pa.
Competed in seven meets… Won a pair of gold medals in the 400 free relay and 800 free relay events at the CAA Championship… Also had a pair of individual podium finishes in the 50 free and 100 free… Majoring in finance.
