RICHMOND, Va. — Following an impressive freshman campaign,
Haley Lehman was named the CAA Women's Co-Rookie Swimmer of the Year, the league office announced Friday morning.
Lehman earned three medals at the CAA Championships, including two gold medals in relay events. She was part of the 400 freestyle relay team that broke a program and CAA record with a time of 3:17.39 to place first, alongside teammates
Flynn Truskett,
Ellie Hunt, and
Caroline Burgeson. Lehman also helped the 800 free relay team to a first-place finish of 7:14.30, ranking second all-time at W&M.
The Falls Church, Va. native captured an individual medal in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:49.00, good for 10th all-time. During the course of the season, Lehman recorded a pair of top-16 individual performances and was part of three top-16 relay performances.
In addition to Lehman's honor, head coach
Nate Kellogg was named the CAA Women's Swimming Coach of the Year for the second straight season, which was announced following the conclusion of the CAA Championships.
