DAVIDSON, N.C.- William & Mary men's and women's swim teams fell 186-107, 191-103 respectively at Davidson Friday afternoon. The Tribe won 10 individual events, led by a pair of butterfly first-place finishes from Noah Fields and two distance wins from Elizabeth Intihar.
The men opened the race with a bang as the relay team of Aaron Tingley, Kyle Demers, John O'Hara, and Graham Hertweck took first place with a 1:32.27 time in the 200 medley. Tingley would win his second race of the afternoon finishing with a time of 51.95 in the 100 back, and teammate Micah Lowe would place third.
Fields was a full two seconds faster than the competition in the 200 fly, and Hertweck's 21.10 time in the 50 free was good for another first-place finish. Hertweck finished second in the 100 free and Lowe took silver in the 200 back.
Demers won his second individual race of the season clocking in at 2:09.57 in the 200 breast, and Fields' time of 50.68 was good for first in the 100 fly as teammates O'Hara and Gavin Lamoureux finished tied for third.
On the women's end, Intihar cruised to victory in the 1,000 free ahead of second-place finisher Devin Genderson. Katie Stevenson was just 25 tenths of a second away from taking first in the 200 free, and Annie Tuttle was touched out by 19 tenths of a second in the 100 breast.
Missy Cundiff continued her dominance pacing the field in the 50 free and Stevenson, Sydney Querner, and Ellie Henry finished second, third, and fourth in the 100 free. Anna Kenna and Kat Vanbourgondien finished one, two in the 200 back, before Intihar clocked in with a 5:02.09 time to take the 500 free.
UP NEXT: Next weekend the Tribe will visit University of Virginia for the Cavalier Invite quad meet. The weekend long event will be the Green and Gold's final tune-up before the CAA Championships Feb. 16-19.
