WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary standout freshman
Caroline Blatchford was honored as the Gymnastics East Conference (GEC) Newcomer of the Week after a pair of impressive performances in quad meets at Towson and George Washington.
Blatchford placed second in all-around (38.500) at the Lindsey Ferris Invitational on Sunday, while she also earned the team's top score on beam (9.750) and tied for first on the squad on vault (9.600).
She also finished fourth in all-around (38.450) at the season-opening quad meet hosted by Towson and tied for the team's top score on vault (9.625).
W&M will return to action when it hosts Penn at Kaplan Arena for its home opener on Saturday at 2 p.m.
