WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The William & Mary women's gymnastics team will vie for the GEC Championship at Cornell on Saturday at noon.
The Tribe will compete in the first session (noon) with Bridgeport, Southern Connecticut State and West Chester. The second session, which will get underway at 5 p.m., will feature Brown, Cornell, Penn and Yale.

In addition to the team title, postseason all-conference honors will be awarded with first-team distinction going to 1st-3rd places and second-team honors awarded to 4th-6th places.
Additionally, at the conclusion of the meet the league will honor its Athlete of the Year, Woman of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, Specialist of the Year, Head Coach of the Year and Assistant Coach of the Year.
W&M enters the championship ranked seventh in the GEC with a NQS of 191.968 but is coming off its two best performances of the season. After earning a 193.875 in a dual meet win versus Alaska last Thursday, it posted a season-high 194.650 against the Seawolves on Saturday. The impressive total ranks as the ninth-best score in school history.
The Tribe's best event has been beam where it ranks fourth with a 48.200.
Leading the Tribe are a trio of standouts who earned All-GEC honors for their performances during the regular season –
Hannah Burke,
Ashley Ruedy and
Sophia Summers. Burke earned first-team honors on floor (9.815), while Ruedy (9.780) and Summers (9.765) garnered second-team accolades on floor and beam, respectively.
