The William & Mary field hockey team added six athletes to its active roster for the 2020 season this week. Head coach
Tess Ellis and her staff announced the recruitment of five incoming freshmen, as well as the promotion of a practice player from 2019 to the game roster. The incoming class includes five top-tier talents from the state of Virginia, including the
Washington Post All-Met Player of the Year and five all-state honorees.
"Grabbing five of the top-10 field hockey players in the state is very exciting for the program," Ellis said. "With the talent, skill sets, and personalities this freshman class brings with them, W&M field hockey will keep moving forward to compete at the highest level keep the program among the top-20 in the country."
