WASHINGTON, D.C. – William & Mary standout gymnast
Katie Waldman won the all-around title to highlight the Tribe's efforts at a quad meet hosted by George Washington on Friday evening.
Pitt claimed the team title with a 195.700 and was followed by the host Colonials (195.375), No. 24 West Virginia (194.850) and W&M (191.425).
In addition to posting its second-best team score of the season, W&M recorded a season-high 48.175 on bars.
Event Highlights
Vault, 48.025 – A pair of Tribe gymnasts earned top-10 finishes on vault, as Waldman tied for seventh with a 9.775 while
Erika Marr tied for ninth by equaling her season high (9.750) in the event.
Bars, 48.175 – Waldman's season-best 9.725 led W&M on bars, while
Mary Graceyn Gordon and Marr also contributed to the squad's best team total in the event this season with a pair of 9.625's. The score represented a career best for Gordon.
Beam, 47.050 –
Emma Wiley led the Tribe on beam with a career-high 9.675, while
Caroline Caponi recorded the squad's second-best mark with a 9.650.
Floor, 48.175 – Waldman's season-high 9.750 was W&M's top score on floor, while
Elizabeth Snoddy also came up big with a 9.700.
All-Around – Led by Waldman's winning performance (38.450), W&M gymnasts earned the top three scores in all-around.
Taylor White placed second with a 38.150, while
Brianna Greenlow earned a 37.600 to finish third.
