COLLEGE PARK, Md. (Feb. 11, 2018) – The William & Mary women's gymnastics team posted its best performance of the 2018 campaign with a season-high 193.650 en route to a third-place finish at a quad meet hosted by Maryland on Sunday afternoon.
The host Terps claimed the team title with a 196.575 and were followed by Rutgers (193.950), W&M (193.650) and Brown (193.325).
In addition to earning its best overall score of the year, W&M posted season highs on three events, which was highlighted by a 48.775 on vault – the fourth-best score in school history in the event.
Evan Pakshong highlighted the Tribe's individual performances and was the team's top scorer in two events – bars and beam.

Vault, 48.775 – W&M recorded the fourth-best score in school history on vault with a season-high total.
Erika Marr led the way with a career-high 9.800, while
Katie Waldman and
Katie Webber both earned a 9.775. The impressive mark represented a career high for Webber.
Mary Graceyn Gordon also contributed to the tremendous collective performance with a career-best 9.750.
Bars, 48.600 – Led by Pakshong's career-high 9.800, W&M tallied its best score of the season on bars. Waldman and Marr were nearly as good and registered a pair of 9.775's, which equaled a career-high for Waldman and represented a season best for Marr.
Taylor White also equaled a career high with a 9.750.
Beam, 48.400 – Pakshong also totaled W&M's top score on beam with a career-high 9.800 en route to helping the squad earn its best score of the season in the event. Waldman's 9.725 also contributed to the impressive team score.
Floor, 47.875 –
Aaliyah Kerr (9.775) and White (9.700) posted W&M's top two marks on floor.
All-Around – Waldman was the Tribe's lone all-arounder and placed fourth with a 38.875, her second-best score of the season.
