WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - For the eighth time overall and the first since 2004, the William and Mary women's tennis team will host the 2013 Colonial Athletic Association Tennis Championships at the Millie West Tennis Facility, April 19-21. The Green and Gold, which is ranked No. 49 nationally, earned the top seed in the league championship and will receive a bye to the semifinals. W&M sports a 15-5 ledger entering the conference tournament.

Admission to the event is free of charge. Spectator parking for Friday, April 19, will be available in the large parking lot located across from Kaplan Arena/William and Mary Hall on Compton Drive between Ukrop Way and Brooks Street. Parking will be open in lots located around the facility on Saturday, April 20, and Sunday, April 21, unless otherwise marked. In the case of inclement weather in the Williamsburg area, the CAA Championship event will move indoors to the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center on the campus of the College of William and Mary. The road to the CAA Championship has often been through W&M as the Tribe owns 21 of the league's 28 all-time championships, earning runner-up finishes on five other occasions. Of the seven times W&M hosted the league championship, it won the title on six occasions. The Tribe also hosted the event in 1985, 1987, 1989, 1992, 1995, 1996 and 2004. W&M opens play facing the winner of No. 4 Delaware and No. 5 Drexel in the semifinals at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 20. The championship match is slated for 10 a.m. on Sunday, April 21. The winner of the 2013 CAA Championship will receive the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship. Below is the complete CAA Tennis Championship schedule:

From the North/West: Take I-64 East to Lightfoot Exit 234 (Route 199 East). At top of exit ramp, take a right onto Route 199 East. Stay on 199 East until Monticello Avenue exit. Exit at Monticello Avenue, and bear left on exit ramp. At bottom of ramp, turn left at light onto Monticello (pass under 199). Continue on Monicello (through five stoplights). Pass the fifth stop light at Ironbound Road, continue straight for about half a mile and take the first right onto Compton Drive (before the light at the W&M School of Education and Treyburn Drive) There may not be a street sign! The road is heavily wooded on both sides. Continue on Compton Drive and turn right at the first stop sign onto Brooks Road. Millie West Tennis Facility will be on your right just past the W&M Recreation Center.

From the South/East: Take I-64 West to Exit 242A (Route 199 West). Follow 199 to Jamestown Road and take a right at the stoplight. Follow Jamestown Road 1.1 miles (past Lake Matoaka on left), then take a left onto Ukrop Drive. Take a left at the next stop sign and continue to follow Ukrop Drive while bearing right until you reach William and Mary Hall up the hill on your left. Millie West Tennis Facility is behind the Hall.
