Bazzichi Finishes 9th in Hammer Throw to Begin Colonial Relays

WILLIAMSBURG, Va.— The 59th annual Colonial Relays began on Thursday afternoon. with the men's hammer throw at the Dan Stimson Throw Area.
 
Ross Bazzichi was the lone participant for William & Mary in the event. The Tribe junior posted a ninth-place finish with a mark 47.76m coming on his third attempt. Virginia's Mark Cyr was the event winner out of the 19 participants.
 
The meet will continue tomorrow with action on the track at Zable Stadium and more throwing events at the Stimson Throwing Area. The action will start at 9:30 a.m..
