WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — William & Mary track & field wrapped up the 2026 CAA Outdoor Championships with five conference titles and multiple podium finishes across the two-day meet at the Jerry and Jeanne Robertson Track and Field Complex on the campus of Elon.
The Tribe men finished third in the final team standings with 115 points, while the women placed fifth with 73 points.
Freshman Uriah Harris led the way for the Tribe men, winning the CAA title in the shot put with a mark of 17.66m (57-11.25). Junior Hayes Trapp added another conference championship for William & Mary, capturing the men's 5,000m title in 14:43.53.
Graduate student Luke Ellwood also reached the podium for the Tribe, placing third in the men's 5,000m with a time of 14:52.73 after earning silver in the 3,000m steeplechase on Friday.
Senior Matthias Oettl added a silver-medal finish in the decathlon, totaling 6,033 points across the two-day event.
On the women's side, freshman Kennedy Reynolds continued her standout season with a runner-up finish in the women's 400m hurdles, clocking 59.49 for the second-best performance in program history. Reynolds already owns the school record after running 59.26 earlier this month at the Duke Twilight.
Saturday's performances added to an impressive opening day for the Tribe on Friday that included conference titles from junior Elizabeth Strobach in the women's pole vault, freshman Amelia Bawcombe in the women's hammer throw and freshman Leighton McGee in the men's pole vault. Strobach broke both the William & Mary and CAA Championship records in the pole vault with a clearance of 4.28m (14-0.50), while Bawcombe reset the freshman school record in the hammer throw at 62.26m (204-3).
N.C. A&T claimed the men's team title with 184.33 points, while host Elon captured the women's championship with 193 points.
