HAMPTON, Va. — Six William & Mary swimmers earned podium finishes across four events on day two of the CAA Swimming Championships at the Hampton Aquaplex.
TOP PERFORMANCES
- Lauren Tucker had the first Tribe medal in the women's 500 freestyle with her time of 4:50.32. That placed third and set a new personal best for the sophomore as she climbed to fifth all-time in school history.
- In the women's 200 IM, Sophia Heilen earned silver with her time of 1:59.22. Though it did not go down as a PR, it was the third-fastest individual performance in program history.
- Flynn Truskett was also a medalist with her third-place time of 22.82 in the women's 50 free. The sophomore scored a personal best and moved up to sixth all-time.
- The women's 400 medley relay team of Julie Addison, Ellie Scherer, Lindsay Juhlin, and Truskett clocked in at 3:37.08 for second place, as well as the second-fastest time in W&M records.
- On the men's side, Aiden Bond narrowly missed out on a podium finish as he placed fourth in the 50 free with a time of 19.64. He was able to beat his previous PR by .07 seconds.
