10/30/2025 11:00:00 AM

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — After three weeks off, the William & Mary swimming teams will return to the pool as they travel to Wilmington, N.C. for a double-dual meet with UNCW and Queens University. The action will get underway at 11 a.m. from the David B. Allen Natatorium.

The meet will not be streamed, but fans can follow live results on the Meet Mobile App. For live updates, follow @WMTribeSwim on X/Twitter and Instagram.

LAST TIME OUT
The Tribe women's team picked up a pair of victories at the UMBC Tri-Meet on Oct. 12, defeating UMBC 203-90 and taking down Navy 169-124. W&M had 13 event victories, all on the women's side. The effort was highlighted by the 200 medley relay team consisting of Julie Addison, Lindsay Juhlin, Sophia Heilen, and Caroline Burgeson, who broke a pool record with a time of 1:43.61.

STARTING OFF
  • Freshman Sammy Randell currently holds the second-best time in the CAA in the 200 fly at 2:05.97.
  • Julie Addison ranks second in the conference in both the 50 back (26.37) and 100 back (56.00).
  • W&M returns 45 letterwinners from last year's squad, including 28 women and 17 men. The Tribe women's team led the way at the CAA Championships in 2025, placing second as a team with eight gold medals.
  • Twelve newcomers join the fold for the Tribe this season, a cast that features 11 freshmen plus one transfer (Claire Stuhlmacher).
  • In total, the Green & Gold racked up 17 medals and broke five school records, including a CAA record in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:38.48. Of that group, three return in Julie Addison, Lindsay Juhlin, and Caroline Burgeson.
  • The Tribe women also bring back a pair of standout sophomores in Claire Neilly and Tess Lankford, who won gold in the 400 IM and 200 free, respectively, in their rookie campaigns.
  • On the men's side, junior Aiden Bond returns after an impressive sophomore season that saw him earn third in the 200 free at the CAA Championships with the second-fastest time in school history (1:36.20). The McLean, Va. native also ranks second all-time in the 50 free at 19.64.

GOING ON YEAR SEVEN
Nate Kellogg will begin his seventh season as head coach in 2025-26, and is in his eighth year as a coach with the Tribe. Kellogg has guided W&M to a pair of CAA Championships (2020 men and 2022 women) and is a four-time CAA Swimming Coach of the Year. Under his stewardship, the Tribe has produced 34 combined individual conference champions, three CAA Swimmers of the Year, one CAA Rookie of the Year, and two NCAA Championship qualifiers.

MEET HISTORY
The women's team has won its last two dual meets against UNCW and is 18-18 against the Seahawks all-time. The Green & Gold has faced Queens just once before back in 2019.
