Eight Pool Records Go Down as Tribe Sweeps Davidson

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — The William & Mary swimming teams swept Davidson on Senior Day, with the men winning 147-115 and the women dominating 202-60 on Saturday afternoon at the Bee McLeod Recreation Center.

The Tribe broke eight pool records on the day and had 23 event winners.

The women's 200 medley relay team of Julie Addison, Ellie Scherer, Lindsay Juhlin, and Caroline Burgeson won the race with a pool record time of 1:40.90. Also scoring facility records was Tess Lankford in the 200 freestyle (1:50.28) along with Scherer (1:02.01) and Brock Rempe (54.23) both in the 100 breaststroke.

In the 100 freestyle, Aiden Bond had a first-place performance with a time of 43.94, another Rec Center highwater mark. In the 200 breaststroke, Sophia Heilen came through with a winning time of 2:15.32.

Juhlin added another pool record in the 100 butterfly, clocking in at 53.99. Capping off the meet, the quartet of Flynn Truskett, Juhlin, Burgeson, and Healey Morgan won the 400 freestyle relay in 3:23.92.
