RICHMOND, Va.—The Coastal Athletic Association announced on Monday afternoon that William and Mary's
Lindsay Wilson won CAA women's soccer Rookie of the Week honors.
Wilson was a force to be reckoned with in the Tribe's 4-0 win against George Mason on Thursday night. The Scituate, Mass. native scored her first two career goals against the Patriots just six minutes apart, putting the Tribe up 2-0.
The second half saw Wilson pick up her first career assist when she aided
Maya Haghighi to her first career goal in the 74
th minute. Wilson's five points in just the one game puts her second on the team in scoring for the year.
W&M finished their non-conference schedule Sunday evening with a 1-1 draw against Old Dominion. The Tribe finished the non-conference slate with a 3-0-3 record, being unbeaten in non-league play for the first time in program history.
The Green and Gold kick off CAA play at Drexel on Thursday at 6 p.m. The game will be broadcast on FloFC.
