TRIBE NOTES

Last Time Out
The Tribe (3-4-4) earned its first win of the CAA season to get to 1-0-2 in league play, beating Elon 2-1 on Saturday in Williamsburg. After the Phoenix scored in the first half W&M mounted a second half comeback with Ellie Leffler finishing a rebound off an Ella Ledwith shot that hit the crossbar in the 51st minute. Sheridan Brummett converted in the 79th minute for the game winning goal off of assists from Madison Moon and Kenley Campbell. The Tribe owned the shot total on the day 19-8, including a 12-4 margin in the second half.

Unbeaten in League Play
The Tribe is off to a solid start in league play at 1-0-2, which has been a constant as of late under Julie Shackford. A result against Campbell would mark the third time in the last four years that the Green and Gold has gone without a loss through its first four CAA matches, starting 4-0-2 in 2023 and 2-0-2 in 2022.

Ellie on a Roll
Ellie Leffler has found her stride in her freshman campaign finding the back of the net in each of the last two contests for the Tribe. She currently ranks third on the team in points with five on the season.

Game Winner for Sheridan
Sheridan Brummett not only picked up her second career goal and second goal of the season on Saturday. The tally for Brummett was also her first career game winning goal. The senior has been efficient in 2025 with two of her three shots on target finding the back of the net.

Spreading the Wealth
W&M's offensive efforts have been balanced this season with 10 different players recording a point over the Tribe's 12 goals in 2025. Lindsay Wilson, Ellie Leffler and Brooke Oswald have been effective at both scoring and setting up teammates as the only three players on the squad with a goal and an assist.

Firing on Target
W&M posted a season-high 11 shots on goal against Elon on Saturday, surpassing its previous season best of eight. The last time the Tribe registered double-digit shots on frame was Sept. 1, 2024, when they recorded 15 in a 6-0 win over Temple. The Tribe is outshooting opponents 133-110 on the current season.

Scouting Campbell and Charleston
Campbell enters the week at 1-1-1 in CAA play with its win in conference action coming over Hampton last time out. This is the sixth ever meeting between the two sides with the Tribe holding a 3-1-1 advantage. Campbell's lone win in the series came last year in a 2-0 decision in Buies Creek.

Charleston has a strong campaign going at 2-1-0 in CAA action and 6-4-1 overall. So far in league games they have beaten Monmouth and Northeastern and fell to UNCW. Three of the last five matches between the Tribe and Cougars have ended in draws with W&M holding a 5-2-5 advantage all-time.
