DURHAM, N.C. – Worth the wait.
Running in the 5000m, the final women's event at Day 2 of the Duke Invitational on Friday,
Arianna DeBoer posted a PR and second-place finish, with a time of 16:29.40. The performance moves her into No. 14 on the Tribe's all-time performers list in the event.
It's the second time in the last few weeks the sophomore has cracked a top performers list for W&M. At the Raleigh Relays on March 23, DeBoer ran a 34:33.26 in the 10,000m, moving into No. 6 all-time. Much like she did at N.C. State, at Duke, she posted some of her best splits as the event went on. Over her final 400, DeBeoer ran a 1:12.00.
Women's 1500
A trio of Tribe athletes posted top-40 finishes, running in a field of 63.
Kelly Ann Sutterfield led the way for the Green and Gold with a time of 4:43.10, while

Sofia Istnick posted a finish of 4:44.96.
Women's Pole Vault
Olesya Sitkowski finished tied for seventh place at 3.65m (11-11.75).
Women's Heptathlon
Elizabeth Dupras wrapped up the day fifth in the field.
