Jones Highlights W&M's Day at Duke Invitational

DURHAM, N.C. – Battling competition and the elements on a rainy Friday, the William & Mary men's track & field team still posted several strong performances at Day 2 of the Duke Invitational.
 
Jacob Jones led the charge for the Tribe in the 1500m, placing 12th in a field of 75 runners with a time of 3:51.74. Sam Pritchard was 27th (3:54.52), Evan Goodell was 29th (3:54.59), and Andrew Lagattuta was 37th (3:55.14). Stephen Larson rounded out the Green and Gold contingent.
 
Meanwhile, in the decathlon, Daniel Layton sits second after the opening slate of events with 2,883 points. The senior posted a PR in the 100m of the event with a time of 11.44.
 
UP NEXT
W&M will post a split-schedule Saturday as some athletes look to notch a solid showing at Duke Day 3, while others are slated for events at George Mason's Dalton Ebanks Invitational. Live results from Durham can be found here and for the Ebanks Invitational here.
