Suzenski Opens Duke Invitational for W&M

DURHAM, N.C. – Starting strong, Tribe.

Keeley Suzenski got things going for William & Mary at the Duke Invitational on Thursday, competing in the hammer throw and discus. The Pennsylvania native opened the day with a 13th place showing in the hammer at 55.27m (181-4) before following up later in the afternoon by finishing 15th in the discus at 44.32m (145-5).

The discuss performance was Suzenski's season best and both marks came against fields of 25-plus athletes.

The Green and Gold will look to notch a few more solid showings throughout the rest of the weekend as the Invitational continues. Meanwhile, on Saturday another group of W&M athletes is poised to compete at George Mason's Dalton Ebanks Invitational.

Fans can keep up with all the Tribe track & field action by following the live results at Duke here and at George Mason here.
