Jayden Moon was named one of two non-traveling reserves for the U.S. U-21 Women's National Team ahead of the squad's upcoming schedule at the 2023 Junior Pan American Championship. This year's event will take place April 10-18 at the Wildey Hockey Centre in St. Michael, Barbados, and is a qualifier for the 2023 FIH Hockey Junior World Cup.
The 18-athlete roster and two reserves were announced following the Pre-JPAC Preparation Camp that took place March 17-19 in Charlotte, N.C.
Moon's recent appearances with the National Team are the first of her career and another highlight in an excellent year for the Spotsylvania, Va. native. This fall, she played in 15 games for the Tribe, starting in 13. A strong presence in the midfield, she recorded assists against UConn and Central Michigan in back-to-back games at Busch Field.
After a record-setting season in 2022, William & Mary heads back to the field later this week for the first games of its spring schedule. The Green and Gold will open up at home against James Madison at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, before making the short trip to Richmond for a Sunday afternoon matinee.
