UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. –
Sam Pritchard led the way for the W&M indoor men's track & field team on Friday as the Tribe competed in the opening day of the Penn State National Invitational at the Ashenfelter III Indoor Track.
Pritchard crossed the finish line of the mile in 22
nd, with a PR of 4:06.97.
Evan Goodell wasn't far behind, finishing 30
th in 4:11.92. The trio of
Luke Ellwood (4:15.47),
T.J. Corliss (4:15.67), and
Jacob Jones (4:16.86) all wrapped up the race within steps of each other, finishing in 39
th, 40
th, and 41
st.
W&M squared off against a stacked field during the opening day of competition at PSU—in addition to the Tribe and host, the event boasted athletes from 30 programs, including Virginia, Penn, North Carolina, Duke, Villanova, and Kent State.
