WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary women's golf hits the road for the Elon Invitational, Sept. 19-20. The Tribe is the defending champion at the event.
Tournament Details
The Tribe will play in the Elon Invitational for the second-straight season. The Alamance Country Club will play at par-71 and 6,065 yards. The teams will play 36 holes Monday followed by 18 on Tuesday. Tee times for both days begin at 8:30 a.m. In addition to W&M and the host Phoenix, the tournament includes teams from Appalachian State, Gardner-Webb, North Carolina A&T, North Carolina Central, Presbyterian, Queens University, Radford and UNCG.

- Houle led the Tribe at the William & Mary Fall Invitational, finishing in a share of fifth with a 1-over 217. It marked her fifth career top five and ninth career top-10 finish, which ranks among the Tribe's all-time top 10 in both categories. Houle was fourth over the three rounds in par 3 scoring at even par and fifth with 10 birdies.
- Lu closed out her first collegiate tournament in a share of 28th thanks to a 232 (+16), recording all three rounds in the 70s.
- In winning the Elon Invitational last season, the Tribe rallied from a four-shot deficit on the final day, outpacing the host Phoenix by three strokes. Houle won the individual title with a 2-under 211, while McDonnell earned a top-five as well, shooting a 219 (+6).
- Houle's career scoring average of 75.75 current ranks as the best in W&M history. Zhou and McDonnell both rank among the top 12 in program history in career scoring average. Zhou is ninth at 78.41 strokes per round, while McDonnell is 12th at 79.0.
