DEDHAM, Mass. -The William & Mary men's track & field team wrapped day one of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championships in third place with 27 points. Northeastern is in the lead with 65 points, while UNCW is in second with 48 points.
In the javelin redshirt freshman,
Chris Arias defended his pre-meet seeding to win gold. With a mark of 65.20m, Arias contributed 10 points to the overall tally for the Tribe.
How it Happened:

J.P. Mintz placed second in the pole vault with a mark of 4.25m, collecting eight points for the team.
- Redshirt-sophomore
Harrison Duncan placed second in the long jump with a mark of 6.90m, adding eight points to the Tribe's total.
- In the 200m prelims sophomore
Jackson Cooley finished with a qualifying time of 22.40.
- Wrapping it up for the Green & Gold sophomore
Harrison Vives finished sixth in the 10k at 32:52.96
adding one point to the team's overall score.
The CAA Championships will continue Saturday morning at 9:45 a.m.
