RICHMOND, Va. – William & Mary senior Mila Saric and freshman Emma Fernald were named the Colonial Athletic Association Doubles Team of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.
 
It marked the sixth weekly award this season for Saric and the first in Fernald's career. Saric garnered her third doubles team of the week honor this season and the seventh of her career. Saric and freshman Hedda Gurholt took home of the doubles team of the week on both Feb. 16 and March 22.
 
Saric and Fernald earned the honor after helping the Tribe to the doubles point in a 5-2 win over Elon to close out the regular season. The duo won in convincing 6-2 fashion at No. 2 over Olivia Archer and Victoria Saldh. Saric and Fernald improved to 4-1 on the year.
 
The Tribe is the No. 2 seed in the CAA Championship, beginning on Friday, April 29. W&M takes on No. 7 Towson at 2 p.m. at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center in Elon, N.C. The semifinal are set for Saturday, April 30, with the championship to follow on Sunday, May 1.
