Tribe Closes Regular Season with 6–1 Win Over Hampton

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — William & Mary women's tennis closed the regular season in dominant fashion with a 6–1 victory over Hampton on Wednesday afternoon at the Mackesy Tennis Center at the Millie West Courts.

The win improves the Tribe to 13–6 on the season, while the Pirates fall to 9–8.

William & Mary set the tone early by sweeping all three doubles matches to secure the opening point. Sia Chaudry and Francesca Davis earned a 6–3 win at No. 1, while Alexia Gonzalez-Galino and Mira Kernagis matched that score at No. 2. Emma Pell and Yaelle Vaissaud completed the sweep with a 6–4 victory at No. 3.

In singles play, the Tribe controlled the match with five straight-set victories. Chaudry led the way with a 6–4, 6–0 win at No. 1, while Francesca Davis cruised to a 6–1, 6–1 victory at No. 3. Kernagis delivered a dominant 6–0, 6–0 win at No. 4, and Rebeka Svabikova added a 7–5, 6–3 decision at No. 5. Gonzalez-Galino rounded out the scoring for the Tribe with a 6–1, 6–2 win at No. 6.

Hampton's lone point came at No. 2 singles, where Serena Bryan edged Tilda Larsson in a three-set super tiebreak, 3–6, 6–2, 10–7.
