COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The William & Mary women's gymnastics team placed fourth at a quad meet hosted by Maryland on Sunday afternoon.
The host Terps claimed the team title with a 197.100 and were followed by NC State (196.925), Yale (191.575) and W&M (190.025).
Freshman
Sarah Kuper highlighted the Tribe's individual performances, as she placed third in all-around with a career-high 48.475.
Event Highlights
Vault, 47.975 – W&M equaled its best score of the season on vault, as junior
Emma Wiley led the way with a 9.650. Senior
Chloe Campbell and Kuper also came up big with a pair of 9.600s.
Bars, 46.475 – Freshman
Sarah Wozniak posted the Tribe's top score on bars with a 9.750, while Kuper earned a 9.600.
Beam, 47.375 – Junior
Keaghan Schafer's career-high 9.750 led W&M on beam, while Kuper (9.700) and junior
Abby Carpenter (9.675, equaled career high) also contributed to the team total.
Floor, 48.200 – Campbell led the way on floor with a 9.775, while Carpenter earned a career-best 9.750.
All-Around – In addition to Kuper's top-three finish in all-around (48.475, career-high), Schafer placed fourth with a 37.775.
