11 W&M Women’s Gymnasts Honored as WCGA Scholastic All-Americans

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – After posting outstanding efforts both in the gym and in the classroom, 11 William & Mary women's gymnasts were honored as Scholastic All-Americans by the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA).
 
The Tribe gymnasts honored include: Catherine Bare, Melanie Faulkner, Melissa Gao, Ascha Laird, Olivia Mile, Michelle Ngo, Ashley Ruedy, Sophia Summers, Brynn Vetrano, Lily Walker and Sally Wood.  
 
The award marked the fourth time Bare, Ngo Vetrano and Walker earned the recognition, while Faulker and Laird are three-time honorees. Gao and Ruedy have earned the distinction twice.
 
As a team, W&M posted a 3.59 GPA during the 2025-26 academic year, which marked the seventh consecutive year in which the program has earned a GPA of 3.59 or better. 
 
During the last 14 years, Tribe gymnasts have combined to earn 165 Scholastic All-America honors.

In addition to the academic accomplishments during the 2026 campaign, W&M achieved tremendous success in the gym as it concluded the regular season with three consecutive victories and posted multiple team performances that ranked among the program's top-10 efforts in multiple events.
