Chen Ruo, Joseph Brailovsky Named CAA Doubles Team of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – William & Mary graduate student Chen Ruo and senior Joseph Brailovsky were named the Colonial Athletic Association Doubles Team of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday.

It marks the fourth time in the last six weeks the Tribe has taken home a weekly CAA honor. Ruo and Brailovsky are the second W&M doubles team to earn the honor, joining graduate student Harrison Brown and junior George Davis who took home the accolade on Feb. 16. Brown (March 2) and Davis (Feb. 9) also earned CAA Singles Player of the Week honors during the spring season.

Ruo and Brailovsky ran their win streak to 10 in a row with victories over Navy and Temple. The duo topped Navy's Jake Fishkin and Derrick Thompson in a tiebreaker, 7-6 (1), at No. 2 to clinch the doubles point against the Midshipmen. They followed with a 6-4 victory over Thibault Frumholz and Leo Raquin in the match-up with Temple. Ruo and Brailovsky are 10-1 in dual-match play and 16-2 overall.

The Tribe returns to action with two home matches this weekend. W&M hosts UAB on Saturday, March 19, at noon, before welcoming Penn to Williamsburg on Sunday, March 20, at 10 a.m.
