RICHMOND, Va. — William & Mary men's tennis standouts Nikita Bortnichek, Oliver Hague and Gur Trakhtenberg combined for four All-Coastal Athletic Association postseason honors, the league announced on Friday, highlighted by first-team selections for Trakhtenberg in singles and the doubles tandem of Hague and Trakhtenberg.

Hague added All-CAA Second Team Singles honors, while Bortnichek rounded out the Tribe's award winners with All-CAA Third Team Singles recognition.

The honors cap a strong spring for William & Mary, which finished 10-13 overall, advanced to the CAA Men's Tennis Championship semifinals and closed the season winning three of its final four matches, including a historic 4-0 upset of No. 3 seed Campbell in the quarterfinals — the first time a No. 6 seed defeated a No. 3 seed in CAA Championship history.

Trakhtenberg continued to establish himself as one of the conference's elite players in 2026. After earning All-CAA Second Team Singles honors in 2025, the sophomore elevated to first-team status this spring after posting a 12-12 overall singles mark, including a 10-8 record in dual-match play while competing primarily at the No. 1 position. He added another standout season in doubles, finishing 17-8 overall and 14-6 in dual competition. His career doubles record now stands at 34-16 (.680), ranking third in program history in doubles winning percentage.

Hague earned All-CAA singles honors for the first time in his career after pacing the Tribe with a 16-9 singles record, including an impressive 15-5 mark in dual matches, primarily at the No. 2 spot where he went 15-3. The former CAA Rookie of the Year has continued to build one of the top resumes in recent program history, ranking 15th in school history in singles winning percentage (.627) with a career mark of 54-32. Hague also ranks seventh in program history in doubles winning percentage (.671), compiling a 47-23 career doubles record.

Together, Hague and Trakhtenberg formed one of the CAA's top doubles teams throughout the season. The duo earned All-CAA First Team Doubles honors after going 16-7 overall and 13-5 in dual-match play at the top spot in the lineup. They were recognized as CAA Doubles Team of the Week four times during the spring and consistently gave the Tribe momentum by setting the tone in doubles play.

Bortnichek rounded out William & Mary's postseason award winners after earning All-CAA Third Team Singles honors. The junior posted a six-match singles winning streak to wrap up the season and finished with a 12-16 overall singles record, including a 9-10 mark in dual competition. He also contributed in doubles, totaling 14 wins across multiple pairings while helping anchor the Tribe lineup throughout the year.

The honors serve as fitting recognition for a Tribe squad that finished the season on a strong note, advancing to the CAA semifinals and posting a historic quarterfinal victory over Campbell in Williamsburg.
