MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The William & Mary women's gymnastics team placed third at a tri-meet hosted by West Virginia on Monday evening.
The host Mountaineers claimed the team title with a 196.100 and were followed by George Washington (194.550) and W&M (187.900).
Event Highlights
Vault, 47.400 –
Emma Wiley (9.575) and
Chloe Campbell (9.550) led the Tribe on vault with a pair of season highs.
Bars, 45.250 –
Sarah Wozniak posted W&M's top score on bars with a 9.450 and was followed closely by Wiley (9.425).
Beam, 47.975 –
Keaghan Schafer and
Abby Carpenter both earned top-10 finishes on beam with a pair of 9.675s. The score matched a career best for Carpenter in the event, while it nearly equaled Schafer's.
Floor, 47.275 – Campbell posted a career-high 9.800 on floor, which placed first on the team and 10th overall.
All-Around –
Sarah Kuper (37.300) and Schafer (37.000) both competed as all-arounders and placed third and fourth, respectively.

W&M will be in action again when it hosts West Chester at Kaplan Arena on Friday at 7 p.m. The meet will be a double dual with the Tribe men's team, as it hosts Springfield.
