CHRISTIANSBURG, VA.- Missy Cundiff delivered gold in the 50 free, and the Tribe women earned three silver medal finishes to highlight an eventful second day of the CAA Championships. Cundiff's 22.26 broke the CAA Championship record and was her third time this season qualifying for the NCAA B cut. Graham Hertweck swam a pair of masterful 50 freestyles earning a bronze medal in the event for the second straight year. The William & Mary women will enter Friday's competition with a four point lead over UNCW for first place, while the men are in fifth. 
 
500 Free
The Tribe had three women place among the top-eight in prelims Thursday morning as Devin Genderson (eighth), Grace Tramack (sixth), and Elizabeth Intihar all earned a spot in the finals. On the men's side, Owen Miller finished eighth while Micah Lowe took 10th place. 
 
FINALS- In the finals Intihar cut nearly four seconds off her qualifying time to finish second with a 4:49.93 silver medal time while Genderson and Tramack would place seventh and eighth overall. Kim Jogis finished 16th overall. For the men, Miller finished eighth to pick up a crucial 11 points for the Tribe while Lowe clocked the 13th best time. 
 
200 IM
In the women's 200 IM prelims, Ellie Scherer turned in a time of 2:04.28, good for second place. Maura Graff was right behind finishing third, while Ellie Henry, Annie Tuttle, and Alexis Bonfield all put in top-15 times. For the men, Conor Sokolowsky had the top time for the men with a 1:51.54 time, good for third, while Noah Fields came in 18th. 
 
FINALS- The Tribe picked up important points in the 200 IM as Ellie Scherer closed the gap finishing second with a 2:02.80 time. Maura Graff finished sixth to earn 13 points while Ellie Henry won the B final. Alexis Bonfield and Tuttle would finish 13th and 14th respectively. Sokolowsky turned in the 12th best time for five points on the men's side. 
 
50 Free
Missy Cundiff had an NCAA B cut qualifying time of 22.32 to finish second in the qualifying, while teammates Anna Kenna and Katie Stevenson finished sixth and seventh respectively. Brooke Lamoureux had a 15th-place time. Graham Hertweck's blazing time of 20.06 was just 10 tenths of a second from an NCAA B cut time and was the second best among all swimmers in the prelims. 
 
FINALS- In the finals, Cundiff continued her dream season turning in a CAA Championship record 22.26 time to take gold for the Tribe. Stevenson and Kenna finished at 23.40 and 23.42 for sixth and seventh respectively. Lamoureux's time of 23.88 was good for 14th overall. For the men, Graham Hertweck finished on the podium for the second straight season with a third place time of 20.07. 
 
400 Medley Relay
The Tribe quartet of Anna Kenna, Annie Tuttle, Maura Graff, and Katie Stevenson just missed out on repeating as CAA Champions finishing a half second behind Drexel for the silver medal. For the men, Aaron Tingley, Kyle Demers, Gavin Lamoureux, and Hertewck swam to a 3:16.17 time.
