WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary women's team dominated action on Tuesday afternoon, sweeping every singles and doubles match in a 7-0 win over Mary Washington.
How It Happened
- The Tribe (3-6) dropped just one game in claiming all three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead over the Eagles (5-2).
- The sophomore pair of
Raffaela Alhach and
Elisa Van Meeteren and the duo of sophomore
Alisia Manolescu and junior
Lisa Fukutoku won unblemished 8-0 matches. Alhach and Van Meeteren made quick work of Claire Coleman and Amanda Hagino at No. 2 for their third win as a pair in the last two years. Manolescu and Fukutoku upended Hana Kimmey and Olivia Moore for their first win as a team at No. 3.

Vitoria Okuyama and junior
Mila Saric ran their win streak to six matches with a convincing 8-1 triumph over Abby Moghtader and Lauren Quinn at the top spot. The Tribe tandem improved to a perfect 5-0 at No. 1.
- The Tribe won all eight singles matches, including seven in straight sets, to sweep the Eagles.
- Following their doubles win, Saric and Okuyama were the first two off the court in singles at No. 1 and No. 4, respectively. Saric dropped just two games in a 6-2, 6-0 win over Claire Coleman. She extended her mark at the No. 1 spot to 6-2 with her second-straight win. Okuyama topped Amanda Hagino, 6-2, 6-1, with her fourth win overall and improved to 2-1 on line four.
- Manolescu cemented the Tribe's team victory, rolling to a 6-0, 6-0 win over Hana Kimmey at No. 5. She won her second in a row and improved to 4-1 on line five.
- At No. 3, Van Meeteren claimed matching 6-3 sets to down Lauren Quinn. She won her third match overall and first at No. 3.
- Fukutoku bounced Rachel Cooper, 6-1, 7-5, at No. 6 for her third win of the spring.

Jill van den Dungen rallied for a three-set win at No. 2. After dropping the first set to Abby Moghtader, 7-5, van den Dungen answered with a 6-3 win in the second before outlasting her counterpart, 11-9, in the third-set super tiebreaker. It was van den Dungen's third win at the top two posts.
- In the other two singles matches, Alhach and sophomore
Shruti Rajaji Srinivasan picked up straight-sets wins. Alhach downed Olivia Moore, 6-1, 6-3, while Srinivasan defeated Riley Smith, 6-0, 6-1.
