WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – After opening the season with a 1-1 draw at VCU, William & Mary women's soccer returns to action with its Colonial Athletic Association opener at Charleston on Saturday afternoon. The match is slated for a noon start from Ralph Lundy Field at Patriots Point.
Charleston's athletics facilities will be reduced to 50% capacity during the spring. Face coverings will be required, unless actively eating or drinking.

5 Things to Know
- W&M will play four CAA matches during the 2021 spring season. This season, the league is divided into North and South Divisions with top two teams from each advancing to the CAA Tournament. Along with its trip to Charleston, the Tribe will travel to James Madison (April 2) and host both UNCW (March 28) and Elon (April 10).
- The Tribe opens CAA play on the road for the fourth-straight season. Last season, the Tribe traveled to JMU and earned a 2-2 draw to kick off the league slate. In 2018, W&M opened CAA action with a 2-1 setback at Charleston. Since 1993, the Tribe is 20-6-1 in CAA openers.
- The Tribe is 4-1-2 against Charleston with all seven meetings coming since the Cougars joined the CAA in 2013. Last season, W&M topped CofC, 1-0, in Williamsburg on a late goal from
Alex Kuhnle. The Cougars won the last meeting in Charleston, 2-1, in 2018.
- The Green and Gold opened the season with a 1-1 draw at VCU on Feb. 26. Junior
Addie Puskar scored her first collegiate goal in the second half to give the Tribe a 1-0 lead. Senior
Mariana Hershner registered her first career assist, finding Puskar at the penalty spot in the 79th minute.
- Sophomore goalkeeper
Zoe Doughty started in the Tribe's season opener at VCU and played 65 minutes in the 1-1 draw. After playing a scoreless opening 45 minutes making a save, Doughty came back on for the overtime periods and made a pair of big saves in the first 10-mintue extra period.
