WILLIAMSBURG, VA.- For the second consecutive week,
Missy Cundiff has been named the CAA Women's Swimmer of the Week as announced by the league Tuesday afternoon. Cundiff broke her own pool and dual meet records swimming a blistering 22.83 in the 50 freestyle.
It was the second straight week in which Cundiff had broken a pool record in the 50, but it was not the senior's fastest 50 time of the meet. Cundiff swam a 22.50 split anchoring the Tribe's first-place finishing 200 medley relay team.
Cundiff also anchored the Tribe's 400 freestyle squad that swam 3:28.82 to cap off a 143-118 win over Towson Saturday afternoon. In addition to her three first place finishes, Missy was just edged out by ten tenths of a second by teammate
Katie Stevenson in the 100 free.
Cundiff and the Tribe will be back in action this weekend for another home meet at the Rec Center. The Green and Gold will host UMBC in Williamsburg for a 2:00 p.m. start Saturday afternoon.
