WILLIAMSBURG, VA.- After a week away from competition, William & Mary volleyball (3-4) will be back in action this weekend for a pair of home matches against College of Charleston (8-6). The Tribe will welcome the Cougars into Kaplan Arena Saturday and Sunday for a pair of matches both beginning at 2:00 p.m.

The Cougars are coming off a series split at James Madison last weekend, winning the opening match 3-1 before dropping a 3-2 decision on Sunday. The Tribe split a pair of road matches with Charleston in the spring.Â

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Lauren Merrill has been the Tribe's best offensive weapon through two CAA games. The senior had 26 kills last time out against Northeastern, good for a 3.71 per set average. Merrill moved into the top-ten all time among players in the current scoring format recording her 511th kill last Sunday. The outside hitter also ranks in the top-15 with 96 career blocks.Â

As a team, William & Mary has averaged 11.40 assists per set, good for second in the league.
Amy Schwem ranks sixth in the conference with 7.90 assists per frame and has 197 assists through seven games this season.

Anna Porter continues to be the rock of the Tribe back line ranking sixth in the league with 3.96 digs per set. Porter has 99 digs on the year and recently moved into ninth in school history with 566 digs in just 42 career matches.

With 12.32 kills per set, the Tribe ranks third in the CAA trailing just Towson and Elon. The William & Mary offense has been led by
Julia Brown,
Maddie Meyers, and
Lauren Merrill all averaging over 2.40 kills per set.

Through seven games,
Julia Brown has racked up 80 kills and 21 blocks. Brown ranks second in the league collecting 3.20 kills per set and is killing balls at a .371 clip, good for third in the CAA and tied for 61st in the NCAA.Â
